Why Charter a Yacht in Pattaya?
Pattaya sits on the eastern seaboard of the Gulf of Thailand, just two hours south of Bangkok. What makes it one of Southeast Asia's best yacht charter destinations isn't just the proximity to the capital — it's the sheer variety of experiences within easy reach.
Within 45 minutes of leaving the marina, you can be anchored off the coral-fringed shores of Koh Larn, snorkelling over vibrant reefs. Push a little further and you'll find the secluded crescent bay of Koh Sak, the bamboo forests of Koh Phai, or the historic temples of Koh Sichang.
Pattaya's marine infrastructure is excellent. Ocean Marina Yacht Club — one of the largest in Southeast Asia — provides world-class berthing, and the city's tourism ecosystem means everything from catering to water sports equipment is readily available and competitively priced.
Whether you're planning a romantic sunset cruise for two, a family day trip with kids, a corporate team-building event, or a multi-day island-hopping adventure, Pattaya has the boats, the crew, and the destinations to make it happen.

Best Time to Charter in Pattaya
Pattaya enjoys a tropical climate year-round, but conditions vary by season. The Gulf of Thailand's eastern seaboard is generally calmer than the Andaman side, making Pattaya charterable for most of the year.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nov – Feb | Cool & Dry | 25–31°C | Calm | Peak season. Best conditions, busiest period. Book early. |
| Mar – May | Hot & Dry | 29–35°C | Calm | Excellent for charters. Hot but clear skies and flat seas. |
| Jun – Aug | Early Monsoon | 27–33°C | Moderate | Occasional afternoon showers. Still very charterable. Fewer crowds. |
| Sep – Oct | Monsoon Peak | 26–32°C | Choppy | Wettest months. Shorter windows of good weather. Best deals. |
What to Expect on Your Charter
Before departure: You'll meet your captain and crew at the marina (usually Ocean Marina Yacht Club in Na Jomtien). They'll give you a brief safety orientation, show you around the yacht, and confirm your itinerary. If you've ordered catering, it will already be on board.
On the water: Your captain handles all navigation. You're free to sunbathe on deck, swim off the back of the boat, try the water toys, or simply relax with a drink. The crew will serve food and drinks, set up snorkelling gear, and make sure you're comfortable throughout.
At the islands: Depending on your itinerary, you'll anchor at one or more islands. The crew will help you into the water or onto the tender boat for beach visits. Most stops last 1–2 hours, giving you time to explore, swim, and take photos.
Return: The journey back is often the most relaxed part — golden hour light, calm seas, and a sense of contentment. You'll be back at the marina by the agreed time, usually before sunset for day charters.

How Much Does a Yacht Charter Cost?
Yacht charter prices in Pattaya vary based on three main factors: the type and size of the vessel, the duration of the charter, and any add-ons like catering, water toys, or decorations.
As a rough guide: a half-day speedboat charter for a small group starts from around ฿15,000 (approx. $430 USD). A full-day catamaran for 20 guests runs from ฿45,000–80,000. Luxury motor yachts and superyachts range from ฿60,000 to ฿500,000+ per day depending on the vessel.
All our charters include a professional captain and crew, fuel for standard routes, safety equipment, fresh towels, ice, and a Bluetooth sound system. Catering, drinks, water toys, and transfers are available as optional add-ons.

Safety & Insurance
Safety is non-negotiable. Every vessel in our fleet is fully licensed by the Thai Marine Department, carries comprehensive insurance, and is equipped with life jackets, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency communication equipment.
Our captains hold internationally recognised certifications and have extensive experience navigating the Gulf of Thailand. Before every charter, the crew conducts a full safety briefing covering life jacket locations, emergency procedures, and basic onboard rules.
We monitor weather conditions closely and will proactively reschedule or adjust itineraries if conditions are unfavourable. Your safety always comes first — no exceptions.
We strongly recommend that all guests carry their own travel insurance that covers water activities. While our vessels are insured, personal travel insurance provides additional peace of mind.
Insider Tips
After 500+ charters, here are the tips we wish every guest knew before their first trip.
Book midweek
Tuesday–Thursday charters are typically 10–20% cheaper and the islands are quieter.
Go early
Departing at 9am means you reach Koh Larn before the ferries. You'll have beaches to yourself for the first hour.
Bring your own playlist
Every yacht has Bluetooth speakers. Create a playlist before you board — it sets the mood.
Ask about combo deals
Bundling catering + water toys is almost always cheaper than adding them separately.
Monsoon ≠ no-go
June–August often has beautiful mornings. Afternoon showers pass quickly. Prices are lower and islands are empty.
Tip the crew
Not mandatory, but tipping the crew is a kind gesture if you had a great time.
